Conflict minerals are referred to the minerals from Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or the neighboring countries, which can be refined into the metals of tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) (referred to as the 3 T’s), gold (Au)and cobalt (Co). These metals are generally used in electronics products.
ChipMOS clearly transmits that ChipMOS will not support the use of metal originated from the armed conflict, illegal mining, and inferior working environment. Suppliers are requested to provide the related information of minerals to ensure those minerals without conflict issue.
